sabhopdeshak 2:1-26

  • sulaiman ke kaamon par ek nazar (1-11)

  • insan ki buddhi ki ek seema hai (12-16)

  • kadi mehnat vyarth hoti hai (17-23)

  • khaao-peeo aur mehnat karo (24-26)

2  mainne man-hi-man kaha, “chal mauj-masti karein,* dekhein to sahi isse kuch faayda hota hai ya nahin.” magar mainne paaya ki yah bhi vyarth hai.   mainne kaha, “hansi-thahake lagana to paagalpan hai.” mainne khud se poochha, “mauj-masti karne* ka kya faayda?”  mainne socha, daakh-madira ka bhi maza lekar dekh loon.+ magar mainne apna hosh-havaas nahin khoya. mainne moorkhta ko bhi gale lagaya. main jaanna chahta tha ki aasman ke neeche chand dinon ki zindagi jeenevale insan ke liye kya karna sabse achha hoga.  mainne bade-bade kaam kiye:+ apne liye ghar banaye,+ angooron ke baag lagaye,+  bade-bade baag-bageeche lagaye aur vahaan har kism ke faldar ped ugaye.  mainne paani ke kund banvaye ki mere baag* ke naye-naye ped sinche jaayen.  mainne daas-daasiyaan rakhe,+ mere yahaan aise daas bhi the jo mere ghar mein paida huye the. mere paas gaay-bail, bhed-bakriyaan, itne saare maveshi ho gaye+ jitne yarooshalem mein mujhse pehale kisi raja ke paas nahin the.  mainne apne liye itna sona-chaandi ikattha kiya,+ jitna raajaon ke khazane aur zile ke khazane mein hota hai.+ mainne apne liye gaayak-gaayikayen rakhe. iske alava, mainne aurat haan, kai aurton ka saath bhi paaya jinse aadmiyon ka dil khush hota hai.  is tarah main mahan ban gaya. mere paas woh sabkuch tha jo mujhse pehale yarooshalem mein kisi ke paas nahin hua.+ tab bhi meri buddhi bhrasht nahin hui. 10  meri aankhon ne jo dekha aur chaha use mainne paa liya.+ kisi bhi tarah ka sukh lene* se mainne apne man ko nahin roka aur main apni mehnat ke saare kaamon se bhi khush tha. yah sab meri mehnat ka inam tha.+ 11  lekin jab mainne apne sab kaamon aur uske peechhe lagi mehnat+ ke baare mein socha, to yahi paaya ki sab vyarth hai aur hava ko pakadne jaisa hai.+ duniya mein* kuch bhi karne ka faayda nahin.+ 12  fir mainne buddhi, paagalpan aur moorkhta aazmakar dekhi.+ (jab raja ne sab aazma liya hai, to uske baad aanevala aadmi kya kar sakta hai? vahi jo pehale kiya jaa chuka hai.) 13  aur mainne kya dekha ki jaise andhere se zyada raushni achhi hai, vaise hi moorkhta se zyada buddhi achhi hai.+ 14  buddhiman saaf dekh sakta hai ki woh kis raah jaa raha hai,*+ lekin moorkh andhkar mein bhatakta hai.+ main yah bhi samajh gaya ki un donon ka ek hi anjam hota hai.+ 15  mainne man-hi-man kaha, “moorkh ke saath jo hota hai woh mere saath bhi hoga.”+ to fir mainne itni buddhi haasil kyon ki? mainne man mein kaha, “yah bhi vyarth hai.” 16  kyonki na to buddhiman ko yaad rakha jaata hai, na hi moorkh ko.+ aakhir mein sabko bhula diya jaayega. aur buddhiman ka kya anjam hoga? jaise moorkh marta hai, woh bhi mar jaayega.+ 17  main jeevan se nafrat karne laga+ kyonki sooraj ke neeche jo kuch kiya jaata hai woh dekhkar mujhe bahot dukh hua. sabkuch vyarth hai+ aur hava ko pakadne jaisa hai.+ 18  mujhe un cheezon se nafrat hone lagi jinke liye mainne duniya mein* khoob mehnat ki.+ kyonki mera sabkuch us aadmi ka ho jaayega jo mere baad aayega.+ 19  aur kaun jaane woh buddhiman hoga ya moorkh?+ fir bhi woh un cheezon ka maalik ban jaayega, jo mainne duniya mein* bade jatan se aur buddhi se haasil ki hain. yah bhi vyarth hai. 20  main man-hi-man nirash ho gaya ki kyon mainne duniya mein* in cheezon ke liye itni mehnat ki. 21  ek aadmi apni buddhi, gyaan aur hunar ke dam par kadi mehnat to karta hai, magar use apna sabkuch aise aadmi ko dena padta hai jisne uske liye koi mehnat nahin ki.+ yah bhi vyarth hai aur bade dukh ki baat hai. 22  us insan ko kya milta hai jis par duniya mein* kuch haasil karne ka junoon savaar ho aur jiske liye woh ji-jaan laga de?+ 23  dukh aur dard ke siva use kuch nahin milta.+ raat ko bhi uske man ko chain nahin padta.+ yah bhi vyarth hai. 24  insan ke liye isse achha aur kya ho sakta hai ki woh khaaye-peeye aur apni mehnat se khushi paaye!+ main jaan gaya ki yah bhi sachche parmeshvar ki den hai.+ 25  mujhe dekho, bhala mujhse achha kaun khaata-peeta hai?+ 26  jo insan parmeshvar ko khush karta hai use woh buddhi, gyaan aur khushi deta hai.+ lekin paapi ko woh batorne ka kaam deta hai taaki uski batori hui cheezen us insan ko milein, jo sachche parmeshvar ko khush karta hai.+ yah bhi vyarth hai aur hava ko pakadne jaisa hai.
