jab pehle insan aadam ko banaya gaya tha to woh paripoorna tha yaani usmein koi paap nahin tha. lekin usne jaan-boojhkar parmeshvar ki aagya todi aur paap kiya. uski vajah se uske sabhi bachche bhi paapi ho gaye. bible mein bataya hai, “ek aadmi ke aagya todne se bahot log paapi thehre.”—romiyon 5:19.
yeeshu bhi paripoorna tha magar usne kabhi paap nahin kiya. isliye woh ‘hamare paapon ke liye prayashchit ka balidan’ de sakta tha. (1 yuhanna 2:2; footnote) jaise aadam ke aagya na maanne se sabhi insan paapi ho gaye, vaise hi yeeshu ke balidan se un logon ko paapon se chhutkara milta hai jo us par vishvas karte hain.
kehne ka matlab hai, aadam ne sab insanon ko paap ki gulami mein bech diya. lekin yeeshu ne khushi-khushi hamari khaatir apni jaan dekar hamein us gulami se chhudaya. isliye “agar koi paap kar baithe, to hamare liye ek madadgar hai jo pita ke paas hai yaani yeeshu maseeh jo nek hai.”—1 yuhanna 2:1.
yeeshu ne apni jaan di taaki “jo koi us par vishvas kare, woh naash na kiya jaaye balki hamesha ki zindagi paaye.”—yuhanna 3:16.
aadam ko hamesha zinda rehne ke liye banaya gaya tha, lekin paap karne ki vajah se use maut ki saza mili. aadam ke zariye “paap duniya mein aaya aur paap se maut aayi aur is tarah maut sab insanon mein fail gayi kyonki sabne paap kiya.”—romiyon 5:12.
lekin yeeshu ke jaan dene se hamein paapon se chhutkara milta hai. itna hi nahin, jo us par vishvas karte hain woh maut ki saza se bhi chhoot jaate hain. bible in baaton ka nichod is tarah deti hai, “jaise paap ne maut ke saath raja bankar raaj kiya, vaise hi maha-kripa bhi neki ke zariye raja bankar raaj kare jisse hamare prabhu yeeshu maseeh ke zariye hamesha ki zindagi mile.”—romiyon 5:21.
maana ki aaj insanon ki zindagi bahot chhoti hai. lekin parmeshvar vaada karta hai ki woh nek logon ko hamesha ki zindagi dega aur jo mar chuke hain unhein bhi zinda karega taaki woh bhi yeeshu ki kurbani se milnevali aasheeshon ka faayda paayen.—bhajan 37:29; 1 kurinthiyon 15:22.
yeeshu ne ‘is had tak aagya maani ki usne maut bhi seh li’ aur yah saabit kiya ki ek insan mushkil-se-mushkil haalaat mein bhi parmeshvar ka vafadar reh sakta hai.—filippiyon 2:8.

(ayyoob 2:4) yeeshu bhi paripoorna tha lekin usne parmeshvar ki aagya maani aur har haal mein uska vafadar raha, tab bhi jab use zillat-bhari aur dardnak maut di gayi. (ibraniyon 7:26) isse ek baat saaf ho gayi: insan mushkil-se-mushkil haalaat mein bhi parmeshvar ka vafadar reh sakta hai.
yeeshu ki maut se jude saval
insanon ko paap aur maut se chhudane ke liye yeeshu ko ek dardnak maut kyon sehni padi? parmeshvar chahta to maut ko khatm kar sakta tha, to usne aisa kyon nahin kiya?
parmeshvar ke kaanoon ke hisab se “paap jo mazdoori deta hai woh maut hai.” (romiyon 6:23) aadam ko bhi parmeshvar ne yah baat saaf-saaf batayi thi ki agar aadam uski aagya nahin maanega to saza ke taur par use maut di jaayegi. (utpatti 3:3) parmeshvar “jhooth nahin bol sakta” isliye jab aadam ne paap kiya to use uski saza mili. (titus 1:2) aadam ne apni aanevali santanon ko virasat mein na sirf paap diya balki paap ki mazdoori maut bhi di.
